Inspired by Owl City, the song is all about diving in head first with no fear and never being defeated by obstacles, both internal and external.

Lynz and Christian, who originally met through SoundCloud around 2016 when they were releasing songs in high school, have been working tirelessly on "Soaring" for years. The song has undergone multiple revisions, with countless Zoom calls and tweaks between the two artists during the pandemic. Despite the challenges, Lynz and Christian were determined to see the song through to completion, a triumph in and of itself.

The chorus lyrics - "Diving in headfirst, with no fear. No parachute, alone in the atmosphere. I think I see the ground, but I’m not going down. Not much to lose, just the world to gain. They say to win, you’ve got to fight through the pain. But they won't see me drown, 'cause I am soaring now" - are both catchy and empowering.

Lynz and Christian wrote the lyrics and produced the song themselves, recording their parts separately and working on it entirely remotely. The result is an upbeat and acoustic track full of exciting synths and melodies that will get your toes tapping and your heart racing.

"Soaring" was brought to life by mixing talents of Justin Hergett, a Grammy-nominated engineer. (FINNEAS, Nick Jonas, Grabbitz, Small Pools) Lynz had the courage and took a leap of faith to ask Justin to work on the song, and he gladly accepted, taking it to a whole new level.

The mastering of "Soaring" was handled by Tess Greenham, daughter of Grammy-winning mastering engineer John Greenham, who has worked with artists such as Billie Eilish, Finneas, Sam Smith, Katy Perry, and Lindsey Stirling.

Afterglow

Lynz

Afterglow is about relaxing and having fun. That there’s more to life than the daily grind. But not in a surface level way of just having fun to have fun, Afterglow is an anthem for letting go of depression and anxiety.

It’s about discovering the present moment, and how important it is and how it’s all there ever really is. Life can only exist in

It’s about discovering the present moment, and how important it is and how it’s all there ever really is. Life can only exist in the now, and that’s great. There’s nothing to go back and fix or change or do-over.

You can start a new future today. That’s something to celebrate.

Lynz is a singer, songwriter, and producer. She’s been at it since age 12 and has never looked back. She taught herself music production and recording in high school online and was soon selected for the 2015 cohort of GRAMMY Camp (Maren Morris, etc) in Los Angeles for audio engineering. She then raised a successful Kickstarter campaign for her first self produced album’ Dusk At Dawn’ at age 16.

After battling deep emotions for a while after that album, digging deeper into herself and the meaning of life, Lynz had moved to LA to start producing for other artists and studied at Westlake Studio’s own Cre8 Music Academy. (The Weeknd, Rihanna, etc)

Lynz is now back at it, releasing covers of her favorite songs like Blinding Lights and releasing new originals like Afterglow.

Born out of Lynz's introspective sabbatical post her first album 'Dusk At Dawn', "Paper Skies" taps into the raw, vulnerable psyche of someone wrestling with their inner demons. It's a battle cry for the ones lost in the greys of their minds, trying to shape and mold their thoughts, like fragile edges of paper, into something beautiful. "So why should I look back I already know what I will find," sings Lynz, reminding us all that living in the present and shaping our own destiny is where true power lies.
